Saburo Teshigawara had been chosen as a mentor of dance for 1 year, in Rolex’ cultural sponsorship programme which aims to support the talented young artists from around the world and pairs them with established masters.
Over the course of 12 months, Saburo Teshigawara provided individual guidance and instruction to a young artist, Junaid Jemal Sendi as the hand-selected protégé. This programme was ended up with Junaid dancing one of major roles in the premiere of KAZAHANA in Tokyo. Since then, Junaid has been involved as a member for KAZAHANA. He has appeared in a film Perspective Study vol. 1 directed by Saburo Teshigawara.
