S.T.E.P. (Saburo Teshigawara Education Project) was first initiated in 1995 in London by the London International Festival of Theatre, The Place Theatre and KARAS. S.T.E.P. 2000 is a development of this, with new students. The workshops took place in both Helsinki and London for a year, and the project culminated into the performance Flower Eyes, directed by Saburo Teshigawara, with partners in London (The Place) and Helsinki (STOA). Flower Eyes was performed in both London and Helsinki, with several vision-impaired dancers.
